Aims & Objectives
- To preach the gospel of Christ in all its fullness in any church that will receive it.
- To provide voluntary HIV counselling and testing (HCT) within churches.
- To set up small groups within churches in which people will have accountability relationships with others in similar life situations on a regular basis.
- To provide HIV/AIDS counselling, especially for people who have tested positive for HIV.
- To support people living openly with HIV and AIDS (PLOWHA) and their families, especially through countering all forms of discrimination.
- To help provide and resource every aspect of care for PLOWHA and their families in their own churches, including access to anti-retroviral treatment through partner medical facilities.
- To challenge and equip Christians in partner churches to express the righteousness of Christ in every aspect of their lives, especially the social dimension.
- To achieve the above aims through founding branches of Grace & Light in churches of any denomination open to our faith and principles, and to do so as fast as is consistent with doing it well, in Nigeria and elsewhere in the world.
- To train people, principally volunteers, to work toward achieving the above aims.
- To secure the funding necessary to achieve the above aims, especially from churches, organisations and individuals within and beyond Africa, with emphases on regular giving, spiritual partnership between donors and recipients, and donors recruiting other donors; in all this maximising the impact achieved by the funds deployed.
- To co-operate to the maximum with churches, denominations, and other Christian para-church organisations including medical and HIV/AIDS ministries in any way that will help achieve the above aims.
- To engage in other activities which will contribute toward achieving the above aims, including publicity, advocacy, and education.
