Equipping volunteers for life

Local churches in Anyigba have been very supportive, sending 39 people to our week-long volunteer training programme at the end of July.

Grace & Light has been able to form five new volunteer teams in Anyigba, Bassa, Dekina, Ofu and Inye, all towns in Kogi state.

Volunteer Sunday Idachaba, who has joined the Anyigba team, said “I’ve lost relatives and colleagues to HIV many times but did not know how to support them.

“With the teaching I received during the training I am now well equipped to share grace, help people who are positive live without the stress of hiding their status and, biggest of all, be there for them with the love that Christ has shown me.

“If I had missed this training I would have cheated myself for life. We need Grace & Light in this generation.”
