AMEN founder visits Nigeria
Gareth and Malou Bolton visit Grace & Light to see how our ministry is developing.
AMEN founder Gareth Bolton, along with his wife Malou and AMEN UK trustee Trish Chatfield, spent time with our Jos volunteer team visiting churches and ministering to congregations during November.
Gareth spoke during the visit to COCIN Bwarak, while Malou and Trish assisted with HIV/AIDS testing after the service. They also spoke at the team’s morning devotions and visited some Grace & Light members who are living with AIDS.
“We were struck by the large numbers who agreed to be tested during our church visit as well as the ongoing financial needs and the huge burden Tassie carries,” said Gareth. “We were left in no doubt as to the effectiveness of a church-based, gospel-oriented, holistic ministry.”
Gareth, Malou and AMEN are generous partners, having supported Grace & Light since we began ten years ago. Their connection goes back to the 1980’s when Gareth and Mark Hopkins, Grace & Light’s founder, worked together for Operation Mobilisation in Belgium.
During November Gareth and Malou also visited another AMEN partner project in Nigeria and two in India.
